What an AWESOME experience for our LCMS students! Google came and let us try out Google Cardboard. Students go on a virtual field trip as they hold the cardboard up to their eyes. The teacher can see where they are looking and give them information about what they are seeing! AMAZING TECHNOLOGY!!

This was a pretty fantastic event. Kids got to visit London, the Grand Canyon, the Congo, coral reefs, the moon, Mars and so many other places. I've never heard that many kids so "Whoa!" during a day. Google Expeditions, the whole package of a tablet that controls the Android phones in the Google Cardboard, isn't currently available to buy, but Google will probably have a good number of Cardboards sold tonight by our kids! There are a variety of Cardboard options (not all are made from Cardboard) on the website, along with many apps that you can download for free to your phone: https://www.google.com/get/cardboard/ I wish we would've been able to get all kids, but I think we fell a handful short. Guess we'll just have to get our own set when they come out :) Thanks to all of the teachers who stopped by to take a look!
