Check out this block planning tool created by Hannah Haarhues-Casey! She uses it to help her plan for block in her 7th grade Science class! Thanks for sharing Hannah! #BelieveAchieveLCMS
Great example of how posted questions can encourage students to self-regulate and reflect upon their learning! #BelieveAchieveLCMS
We attended a training yesterday given by Curriculum Associates, Inc. to learn about our district's new computerized assessments, which will be taking the place of the NWEA tests in reading and math beginning this Fall. We were very pleased with how interactive, engaging, and student-friendly these assessments are for students. These tests also provide an enormous amount of data for teachers to help guide instruction and make sure that all students are making good progress.
Our first week of school is done and teachers are spending time in professional development today. Language Arts teachers are in Writing Workshop training while the rest of the middle school is focusing on collaboration, finalizing small group PD plans, and Career Development Plans. After completing the morning session, the instructional coaches had 3 more requests for coaching!!!! That is AWESOME!! There are great things happening here at lCMS! #BelieveAchieveLCMS
